A breast cancer network built on firefighters answering the call by our community to provide hope, support, and raise awareness for individuals and families impacted by breast cancer.
The Huber Heights Firefighters Local 2926, is proud to be recognized as the nation’s #1 breast cancer awareness fire department for funds raised throughout October. In the past four years, the “Go Pink or Go Home” campaign has raised over $230,000! With its unique design, our PINK NASCAR themed fire engine has captured the attention of fans globally. The PINK fire engine can be viewed throughout October at over 100 different site locations throughout the Miami Valley, staffed by off duty Huber Heights Firefighters. In 2015, the Huber Heights Firefighters Local 2926 wanted to share our campaign throughout the Dayton-Cincinnati area, inviting fire divisions from all over the region that the Pink Ribbon Girls currently provide services in. We are a network determined to encourage other fire divisions to join in the fundraising effort and spread the word of PINK RIBBON GIRLS.
We want to create a uniformed fire department breast cancer network for support and promoting Pink Ribbon Girls. Driven by fire departments statewide, we aim to unite and go PINK for breast cancer awareness month in October. Pink Ribbon Firefighters throughout the area will promote and insure Pink Ribbon Girls continue to answer the call for families in need.
Who We Support
Understanding the importance of your donation:
The Pink Ribbon Firefighters network donates 100% of funds raised throughout the year to Pink Ribbon Girls. Pink Ribbon Girls is a local nonprofit organization that offers support and services to women and men throughout all phases of the breast cancer journey. Through the Simply Fight! And NO Age NO Stage programs, Pink Ribbon Girls offers free services for those in treatment to help with everyday life needs such as housekeeping, healthy meals and transportation. With your help, Pink Ribbon Girls can ensure that No One Travels This Road Alone.
Pink Ribbon Girls (PRG):
A local non-profit organization that truly utilizes our dollars locally. Firefighters take the oath to protect and serve our community to those in need. We wanted to find an organization that would mirror that promise and directly make a difference in OUR community. Pink Ribbon Girls is a local non-profit organization that has a great deal of passion for helping their families in which they serve. They are built mostly from breast cancer survivors who have experienced the uncertainty breast cancer can bring to a family. Their services are very easy to explain to donors. Pink Ribbon Girls offers meals, medical transportation and house cleaning for families dealing with the difficult stages breast cancer patients encounter. Their service numbers rising each year is a direct correlation to their success. Throughout the past four years of fundraising efforts amongst neighboring fire departments, many stories have been told to our firefighters as a true testament PINK RIBBON GIRLS are providing a service to those in need. Their passion and dedication have inspired the Huber Heights Firefighters Local 2926 to motivate more fire departments to get involved and join our campaign. We believe in PINK RIBBON GIRLS and will always support them in their journey.
